Code Black Edition

Code Black Edition Carp Rods

The Code Black Carp Rods range combines our proven carp rod blanks with an understated Stealth Black specification. Built for anglers who want premium performance with a clean, purposeful finish, every detail complements the dark carbon blank.

With five models available, the Black Edition range covers everything from versatile all-round carp fishing through to demanding long-range work. Therefore, you can choose a rod that suits both your fishing style and the waters you regularly fish.

In addition, you can select from three premium black reel seats and either abbreviated or full Japanese shrink-wrap handles. These options allow you to personalise the build while retaining the distinctive Black Edition appearance.

Five Proven Code Rod Models

12ft 3.25lb

A versatile all-round carp rod, the 12ft 3.25lb offers an excellent balance of casting performance, fish-playing action and everyday usability. As a result, it’s an ideal choice for anglers who want one 12ft rod to cover a wide variety of carp fishing situations.

12ft Cipher

The 12ft Cipher combines a responsive, forgiving tip with power that builds progressively through the blank into a strong butt section. Consequently, it provides excellent fish-playing control at close range while retaining the backbone required for demanding casting situations.

12ft 6in 3.5lb

Sitting between traditional 12ft and 13ft carp rods, the 12ft 6in 3.5lb combines additional leverage with excellent versatility. It’s a strong choice for anglers who want serious casting performance without moving to a full 13ft rod.

13ft 3.5lb

The 13ft 3.5lb is a lightweight and powerful big-water rod with the additional length and control required for longer casts. However, it still retains progressive fish-playing characteristics, making it an excellent choice for demanding UK and European carp fishing.

13ft 3.75lb

For anglers who prioritise distance, the 13ft 3.75lb is the most casting-focused option in the Black Edition range. Its slim, powerful blank delivers serious casting performance while retaining responsive characteristics when playing fish.

Black Carp Rods – Stealth Black Specification

The Black Edition follows a simple idea: premium Code Rod performance combined with a subtle, understated appearance.

To achieve this look, the dark carbon blank is paired with black fittings and carefully selected components. Together, these details create a clean finish without unnecessary colour or decoration.

Most importantly, the Stealth Black specification doesn’t change the individual character of the Code blank underneath. Instead, it gives each model a distinctive and purposeful Black Edition finish.

Choice of Premium Reel Seat

You can choose from three black reel-seat options for your Code Black Edition build. Each option offers a different appearance while complementing the overall Stealth Black specification.

Black 18mm DPS: A clean, proven reel-seat design with a traditional and understated appearance.

ALPS CAH: A premium option that adds a distinctive modern finish to the rod.

ALPS ARD: A premium matt-black reel seat for anglers looking for a more individual specification.

Japanese Shrink-Wrap Handle Options

Two handle configurations are available, so you can choose the finish that best suits your preference.

Abbreviated Japanese Shrink: A minimalist handle configuration that keeps the rod looking clean and understated.

Full Japanese Shrink: A traditional full shrink-wrap handle that provides a continuous, purposeful finish through the butt section.

American Tackle Ti-Forged Air Rings

American Tackle Ti-Forged Air rings complete the Black Edition specification. Their lightweight design complements the performance and balance of the blank.

Furthermore, the understated ring set works perfectly with the Stealth Black styling while maintaining the premium specification expected from a Code Rod.
